Dear WVSC Members and Friends, It’s time for us to band together and support a very important community sport fundraiser. By now each of you should know about the West Vancouver Secondary School Track and Field that has been planned. This sport facility will give our soccer club much needed relief from over crowded fields, and it will also assist us in finally moving all of our teams off gravel and Rutledge fields. Despite Rutledge being a world class field hockey surface, it is mediocre for replicating grass or artificial turf soccer surfaces. This is a time when we need all of our club members to help support the work that has already started and is going to launch publicly at the Kay Meek Centre for Performing Arts on May 26. Please accept my invitation to attend the Gala. I have seen the program set for the night, and it will mirror what happens throughout the day at the West Vancouver Place for Sports, the WVSS track and field. Some of the best choreographers in the business are working with Vancouver talent to put together an extremely entertaining variety show. I have seen the program and know it will be something that everyone will enjoy! I understand how busy everyone is. The last part of spring is always challenging with sport and special events, but the hard working planning committee and I are counting on community support to make the track and field happen for all of us. Connect with your friends, neighbors and team members and come together to the Kay Meek. A community can only be as great as the support it gets from within. Be a part of the community that actively promotes improving our infrastructure. We need you. Please click on the link below and it will take you to the Kay Meek website where you will need to register and reserve your free seat. https://tickets.kaymeekcentre.com/TheatreManager/1/login&event=1525
